Endangered Species Project
As resident Artist of White
Oak Conservation Center (2012-2013) Nadine Terk explores our 21st century perception of exotic animals. The body of work she
created at White Oak, includes a series of portraits that looks at members of a species as unique individuals. Terk also
recorded her EEG brainwave activity while in the field painting some of the animals. This brainwave activity was used to create
a series of prints in which the brainwaves, exported as numerical data, serve as a screen over the animal image.
